Required Skills & Experience:
AutoCAD drafting of all types of surveys and condominium plans from field notes, measurements, and electronic data collection files. We currently use AutoCAD Civil 3D 2026. Specific experience with Civil 3D and Trimble office and field software is ideal. Drafting skills and experience preparing Tentative Parcel and Final Maps, Record of Surveys, Corner Records, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Condominium Plans, Topographic and Architectural Site Surveys, Elevation Certificates and Plats, etc. is highly desirable. Office experience may include data reduction and adjustment calculations.

CADD/GIS Drafter (Santa Rosa, CA.)

Description:
We are seeking an experienced CADD/GIS drafter for a part-time position. Must be proficient in GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D software with demonstrated ability to produce topographic surveys, site plans, and spatial data management. This position requires immediate productivity with minimal supervision.
Duties:
- Produce topographic surveys and site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Create and update maps using GIS software (ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap)
- Manage spatial databases and attribute data
- Process GPS/GNSS data and convert between CAD and GIS formats
- Interpret surveying data, legal descriptions, and engineering plans
- Coordinate with surveyors and project managers on deliverables
- Ensure accuracy and quality control of all drawings and maps
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years professional experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Technical training or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, GIS, or related field preferred; will consider candidates with strong relevant work experience in lieu of formal degree
- Demonstrated ability creating topographic surveys and site plans
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap
- Experience processing GPS/GNSS data
- Portfolio of Civil 3D and GIS work required with application
- Self-directed with proven ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with database management (Microsoft Access)
- Experience with Trimble Business Center
- Knowledge of North Bay property records
- Land surveying background
Hours:
- Part-time: 20-30 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling available
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly wage: $30 – $40 per hour, dependent upon experience and proven ability
